The ✓ Verified badge on a business profile means somebody at Khojdo checked that business by hand. It is free, it cannot be bought with any paid plan, and paying for a plan does not make it more likely to be granted. A badge you can buy tells a customer nothing.
What we check before granting it
- Phone. We ring the number on the listing and speak to somebody who knows the business.
- Email. Ideally an address on the business's own domain, otherwise confirmed on that call.
- Address. A real, findable place that matches the document or signboard photo supplied.
- GSTIN. Where the business should be GST registered, we ask for the number and check it looks valid.
- Licence. For medical, legal, financial and other regulated work, the registration or licence number.
What it does not mean
It is not a guarantee of quality, a recommendation, or a warranty of the work. It means the business is who it says it is and can be found again. Judge the quality from the reviews, and remember that Verified customer on a review means that person reached the business through Khojdo - through a quote request or a booking - rather than simply having an opinion.
Sponsored placement is separate
Listings marked Sponsored or Featured pay for their position in search results and on the homepage. That is advertising and we label it as such. It never affects reviews, ratings, or whether a business is verified.
If something is wrong
Tell us. Email support@khojdo.in with the listing link. We withdraw a badge if the business stops answering, the details stop matching, or a pattern of complaints suggests we got it wrong.
